Trey Turner of the World Baseball Classic (WBC) U.S. national team has risen to the top of the tournament’s home run rankings.
On the 20th (Korean time), Turner hit two home runs in the semifinals against Cuba at the Londippo Park in Miami, Florida, USA.
Turner, who was the main character of the last home run against Venezuela in the quarterfinals, turned the bat terribly that day as well.
In the second inning, when the team was leading 2-1, he hit a solo home run that went over the left wall against starter Loenis Elias.
This was not the end. In the 6th inning, when the team was leading 9-2, he hit a three-run home run against Elias Leyva that went over the wall in the middle left.
With these two home runs, Turner rose to the top of the home run rankings for this tournament. Previously, the number one home run ranking was Kim Ha-seong of the Korean national team, who recorded 3 home runs.
According to ‘MLB.com’,온라인바카라 Turner’s four home runs are tied for the second most home run record in a single WBC tournament.
Previously, Vladimir Valentin (Netherlands) in 2017 and Adrian Beltre (Dominican Republic) in 2006 had four home runs.
The record for the most in this category is currently held by Doosan Bears coach Lee Seung-yeop. In 2006, he painted five arches. Turner could surpass this record if he added two more homers in the remaining finals.
